The Fire service was called out to a fire in Torre, Torquay this morning.
One fire engine from Torquay was mobilised to reports of a road sweeper on fire at Brunswick Square at around 8am.
At the scene
A Spokesperson for the fire service said:
“On arrival the crew confirmed that this was an industrial road sweeper on fire on the public highway. They got to work extinguishing the fire.
“The fire was confined to the engine compartment of the vehicle and was extinguished using a hose reel jet and small tools.”
