Fire crews called to Torquay flat fire

Man taken to hospital following Paignton fire

Fire crews were called to a fire at a flat in a property on Belgrave Road, Torquay this morning.

The fire service received reports of an alarm going off at a flat above The Bull and Bush at around 7.13am.

Fire engines from Torquay and Paignton were mobilised to the incident.

A spokesperson for the fire service said:
“Upon arrival, crews found a fire in the second floor flat, crews used two breathing apparatus, and one hose reel jet and one dry powder extinguisher to extinguish the fire,”
