The fire service were called to a house fire in Watcombe, Toquay this afternoon.
Three fire engines attended the incident on Starpitten Grove, two from Torquay and one from Paignton attended the incident just before 3pm.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire service said:
“On arrival smoke and flames were issuing from a mid terrace house. Fire-fighters used 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reels, safety jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire.
“Cause of the fire is currently under investigation,”
Red cross fire victim support unit attending to support the occupants.
