Fire crews fight blaze at former hedgehog hospital

Fire crews from around South Devon attended a fire at the former Prickly ball farm and hospital on Denbury Road, Ogwell this afternoon, Wednesday 10th July.

The fire service received multiple calls to report that a large agricultural shed was on fire.

2 fire appliances from Newton Abbot were initially mobilised to the incident with further appliances from Torquay, Bovey Tracey (crewed by Ashburton) and Ivybridge also attending.

The shed was destroyed in the fire.

There were no injuries to human or animals.
