Fire crews reach Paignton fire in less than 4 minutes

Fire service alerted to Paignton house fire by neighbour

Fire crews were at the scene of a Paignton fire in under 4 minutes last night, 15th June.

Three fire engines, two from Paignton and one from Torquay, along with an Operational Assurance Officer, were mobilised to the fire at Sands Road just before 9.30pm following a call reporting a fire within a flat, with persons still inside.

Fire crews arrived at the scene in under 4 minutes, and confirmed that all occupants had left the property. 

Police and ambulance crews also attended the scene. Paramedics treat one casualty suffering from smoke inhalation.

The fire service stated that the fire was in bedroom of basement flat involving bed and bedding.
