Emergency services were called to reports of an elderly man trapped in mud in Kingsbridge earlier today, Tuesday 28th January.
Fire crews and the Coastguard were requested to attend the incident at Embankment Road around 2pm.
“Fire crews confirmed one elderly male stuck in mud approximately eighteen foot down from the estuary embankment. Fire crews rescued the male using dry suits, wading poles and a ladder for access. The male was handed over to the Ambulance for treatment. The Coastguard teams were then stood down,”
