Fire service called to caravan fire near Newton Abbot

The fire service were called to a caravan on fire near Newton Abbot this morning.

Fire engines from Bovey Tracy and Newton Abbot were mobilised to the fire at Drumbridges, just off the A38 after a call reporting the fire at 6:45am.

A fire service spokesperson said:
“On arrival of the first appliance, the officer in charge confirmed there was a small caravan well alight.

“Crews got to work with 2 hose reel jets wearing 2 breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire, a themal imaging camera was also used.”
