Firefighters tackle barn blaze at Marldon

Fire crews noticed a fire at a barn at Comptom, Marldon this morning, 18th November at around 1:50am whilst they were returning to the station from a previous incident.

Another three fire engines were mobilised to the incident, two from Torquay and one from Paignton along with the water foam carrier from Torquay.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said on their website:

“On arrival the officer in charge confirmed there to be a Barn well alight. Crews quickly got to work to establish a water supply and attempt to tackle the fire,”
