The victim, a 15-year-old boy, was head butted whilst he played a game of football.

PC Ant Moore said: “A group of visiting international students were enjoying a game of football with a group of local youths when towards the end of the match, one of the local youths became aggressive.

“The game was ended and one of the local youths headbutted and punched some of the students. One student sustained a laceration above the left eye requiring four stitches.

“I am appealing for witnesses to come forward to assist in the identification of the offender.”

Anyone who can help is asked to contact PC Antony Moore NBM Torquay on 101@dc.police.uk or telephone 101, quoting crime reference CR/049571/17.
