Four more arrests made following fatal house fire in Torquay

Four more arrests have been made following a fatal house fire in Torquay last week.

The incident happened in Ellacombe Road on Saturday 22 May. Emergency services were called to reports of a fire at around 11.10pm.

A man in his 50s, from Torquay, was arrested in connection to the incident and released on police bail to return Friday 18 June.

Four more arrests have since been made, two men in their 30s, a man in his 20s and woman in her 40s – all from Torquay. All four have been released on police bail to return in June.

A police cordon remains at the scene, with enquiries continuing. Police state that the cause of death is currently being treated as unexplained whilst enquiries are ongoing.
