Paignton Lions Club’s increasingly popular annual Fun Day and Family Dog Show returns for 2024 on August 25th and now in its 4th year has grown significantly since.
Held in the wonderfully beautiful surroundings of Young’s Park at Goodrington, Paignton, it is ideally situated for everyone with great access for all.
The event is a charitable one with every penny of the funds raised by the Lions going to support the local community as well as National causes.
The day starts at 11am until 4pm and includes over 30 stalls from Cakes & Bakes, Local crafts, Jewellery, Preserves, Laser engraving, pet supplies and many more. For those in need of some sustenance, we have Barista Coffee, Burgers, Pizza, Crepes, Ice Cream and more including Polar Slush for the younger family members. And bouncy castles for the more energetic members of the family to expend their excess energy on.
A spokesperson for Paignton Lions Club added: “We have Rainbow Gecko entertaining throughout the day with their fabulous Bubble Art as well as performances from local Youth Theatre Schools and the talented Anaise.
There will also be the very popular Family Dog Show starting at 1pm and sponsored by Pad and Paws pet shop in Preston with classes from Best Puppy under 12mths of age to the best Golden Oldie over 8 years of age and everything in between.
“This year’s event is also sponsored by Snows Toyota of Paignton, who will also be in attendance with an impressive static display of vehicles for you to peruse over, and Ridgewater Sales and Lettings Estate Agents in Paignton.
“The wonderful Torbay Radio are once again providing their services by undertaking our public address and sound requirements throughout the day keeping you up to date with the day’s happenings.
“So, we really do have something for everyone, all we need is for the sun to shine, oh and your support too.”
