The fire service was called to Rocket Park in Chelston, Torquay this evening, 12th April to reports of a child stuck up a climbing frame.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said:
“A fire appliance from Torquay was mobilised following a call from a member of the public who had come to the aid of a mother of an 8yr old little girl, who was stuck 5ft up on a climbing frame, after breaking her arm. They were unable to get her down and she was unable to climb down herself.
“Shortly after arriving and assessing the little girl, our crew rendered first aid before safely lifting her down. Once off the equipment, and in the care of her mother, she was conveyed to hospital by her mother, with our assistance,”
