RYA Push the Boat Out May 2016 is a nationwide event that will see hundreds of sailing clubs and centres across the country opening their gates for local people to come and have a go at sailing and windsurfing.
Whether you’re completely new to the sport, looking to get back on the water or sail regularly, the Royal Torbay Yacht Club will be one of the many sailing clubs and centres across the country taking part in RYA Push the Boat Out. The event will see hundreds of people taking part in the sport at club open days or taster sessions.
Starting at 10.00am, on both Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th May at Beacon Quay, Torquay there will be a whole host of activities taking place.
Bob Penfold Commodore of the Royal Torbay Yacht Club said: “We are delighted to be taking part in the RYA Push the Boat Out. We are inviting the local community to come down to the harbour and club, have a go at sailing and see what the club has to offer. You will be made very welcome.
RYA Sport Development Manager Duncan Truswell said “Push the Boat Out provides the perfect opportunity for you to discover your local sailing venue, like-minded people, have a go at the sport and find out how much fun it is.”
