Helicopter assists police with early morning incident in Torquay

Tools stolen from vans in Torquay and Newton Abbot

A man has been arrested following an incident in Torquay in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday 7th March.

Police, police dog handlers and the police helicopter NPAS Exeter, attended the scene just after midnight.

Police had been called to a man making “threats in the street” on Abbey Road

Posting on Twitter, NPAS Exeter said: “0015 hrs – Abbey Road, Torquay … Providing operational support to @DC_Police following a male making threats in the street … provided live video footage to the control room whilst Torbay officers and @Devondogz moved in tasers drawn and made the arrest .. log 920”

Devon Dog Handlers added: “PD Harry assisting local units. Surprisingly faced with a barking Dog, tasers and @NpasExeter overhead he came quietly!”
