Occombe farm help maintain the bats’ habitat by farming organically and laying hedgerows which are crucial in supporting foraging areas. .
“We are running a free hedgelaying event where people can come along, learn all about hedge laying and help maintain a bat-friendly habitat.
“Meet at Occombe Farm outside the café. Wear strong footwear and suitable clothing. We’ll provide tea, coffee and biscuits but please bring a packed lunch (or you can purchase hot food from the Café). All tools, gloves and training provided.“
