Police appeal for witnesses following Kingskerwell collision

POLICE are hunting the driver of a car suspected of deliberately ramming into a man in Torquay town centre.

The victim, a 29-year-old, from Torquay was walking up Fleet Street near the GPO roundabout on the evening of Friday 27th February 2015 when he was struck from behind.

The incident happened at about 11.10pm and police are keen to trace witnesses — one of whom is believed to have taken down the vehicle registration of the hit-and-run vehicle.

The car is described as a small estate vehicle, dark in colour.  After the collision it drove away up Abbey Road. Police are particularly keen to speak to a member of the public who took the vehicle’s registration.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting CR/014395/15.
