Rowcroft Hospice has released an additional number of discounted places for its new family-friendly sponsored 5k, the Bubble Rush, taking place at Torbay Velopark on Saturday 9 September.
The hospice opened registration for the new 5k, which is open to all aged over three-years old, in June, originally releasing 500 discounted adult places.
Having sold out of its initial 500 places, the hospice has now announced adults will be able to register for the reduced price of £15 until Wednesday 16 August when entering discount code WASDBUBBLE17 online.
Daniel Robson, Rowcroft’s Events Manager, said: “We are so excited that the local community has shown such huge interest in this new event and look forward to all those who have already signed up joining us for the bay’s bubbliest 5k!
“We have a full day of fun planned from 11am, with music from The Breeze, a delicious selection of food and drinks stalls and the 5k itself – with cannons blowing bubbles up to four feet high along the route!”
The new event replaces Rowcroft’s previously popular event, The Colour Rush Paignton.
Daniel explained: “The Bubble Rush is a chance for people across South Devon to complete a new Rowcroft 5k, this time frothy, colourful and full of thousands of bubbles!
He added: “The Velopark route is smooth, flat and easy, making it the perfect challenge for all the family! We’re excited to have introduced our first family ticket for two adults and two children at a cost of £40, while individual tickets are available for £20 per adult – or £15 with a discount code – and £8 per child (aged 3 – 16-years-old).”
The registration fee paid by each entrant covers the event’s running costs, while the hospice asks that families raise as much in sponsorship as possible to help local families living with life-limiting illnesses in South Devon to share precious time together.
