Offenders broke into the home between 5 and 12 January and took various necklaces, bracelets and earrings.

Among the items stolen were a gold chain and bracelet set made in Portugal, a handmade gold necklace carrying a Portuguese coin, an emerald necklace, a set of pearl earrings, a necklace from an amethyst set and a matching silver daisy necklace and earrings.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area at the time of the burglary.

They are also keen to hear from anyone who may have been offered any of the pieces of jewellery for sale.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police via 101@dc.police.uk or by phone on 101, quoting crime reference CR/003573/18.

Information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers via 0800 555111 or www.crimestoppers-uk.org
