Police in Brixham took to social media after a green laser light was shone into the cockpit of an aeroplane in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
A spokesperson posted on Brixham police’s Facebook page:
“At 0035hrs on Wednesday 9th September, at an area around Berryhead, Brixham a person shone a green steady laser light into the cockpit of a Thompson Boeing 737 travelling from Tenerife to Doncaster.
“This is an unlawful act, contrary to Civil Aviation Act 1982
“It is an offence to Direct or Shine a Light at an Aircraft in Flight, so as to Dazzle or Distract the Pilot”
