LEGO Stop Motion Animation Workshop at Torquay Museum

Come and make a LEGO animation film at Torquay Museum with animator and film-maker Fliss Shillingford using stop motion animation on Saturday 18th August, inspired by the Museum’s collections and its summer blockbuster LEGO Brickbuilt models exhibition.

There are two family-friendly workshops, one from 10am – 12noon and the other from 1pm – 2pm. Working in a group you will create a story and background ready for action. Music and sound effects will be added to your movie later, which will then be available to download. Basic Lego blocks will be provided but please bring your own Lego figures and any types of Lego transport.

Booking for this special event is highly recommended as spaces are limited to 15 children per session. Telephone 01803 293975 to reserve your space. Tickets are £6 per child.

Visitors to the Museum will also be able to marvel at the stunning models in the summer blockbuster Brick Built LEGO® Models exhibition (which runs until 8th September) and then:

* Make their own models, using play Lego, which can be added to a special Lego town
* Use a Virtual Reality headset to pilot a flying car, or be an astronaut making a spacewalk aboard a  space station.
* Build Lego digitally using laptops loaded with special Lego Builder software.
