Nigel Palmer, managing director of Linden Homes, said: “The cricket match with Galliford Try Partnerships and the junior section was great fun and everyone really enjoyed themselves.

“We’re delighted to support the local community in such a positive way. Inspiring the younger players really appealed to us; their enthusiasm for the sport is excellent and we have enjoyed following their matches – there are some very talented players with excellent bowling and batting skills, they’re definitely ones to watch!”

Club chairman, Dennis Brewer, from Torquay Cricket Club said: “We’re thrilled that Linden Homes supported us this year as it has enabled us to invest in facilities and focus on competitions for all young people at the club. It really is great to be sponsored by a local company with a strong reputation.”
