Linden Homes has supported the junior section of Torquay Cricket Club again this season and were challenged to a match by its young members.
Linden Homes, part of the Galliford Try Group, invited members from both companies to take part in a healthy bit of teambuilding – headed up by Galliford Try executive chairman, Greg Fitzgerald.
Nigel Palmer, managing director of Linden Homes, said: “The cricket match with Galliford Try Partnerships and the junior section was great fun and everyone really enjoyed themselves.
“We’re delighted to support the local community in such a positive way. Inspiring the younger players really appealed to us; their enthusiasm for the sport is excellent and we have enjoyed following their matches – there are some very talented players with excellent bowling and batting skills, they’re definitely ones to watch!”
Club chairman, Dennis Brewer, from Torquay Cricket Club said: “We’re thrilled that Linden Homes supported us this year as it has enabled us to invest in facilities and focus on competitions for all young people at the club.
