Cockington Court announces the bands performing at Apple Day and a free bus service.
On Sunday 14 October between 10am and 4pm, Cockington Court will be awash with all things apple, and visitors can enjoy live music from New Daze and Buried Hedz.
Marissa Wakefield, Cockington Court Centre Director, said: “We’re excited to have some great local bands and musicians performing on the Bays sponsored stage throughout the day. The music at Apple Day really brings the place to life and there is some terrific local talent including South Devon College.
“The bus service will be running from The Strand every half hour from 11am and dropping people to Cockington Court. The bus service is free of charge but donations towards the event will be gratefully received. We are working hard to provide sustainable transport and make access to Cockington easier for everyone to enjoy this loved event.”
Mike Lumb, Guy Stockwell and Matt Sellors will also be performing on the stage sponsored by Bays Brewery.
All the family can take part in a range of activities from creative crafts to apple themed challenges and games, while being wowed by children’s entertainers and cooking demonstrations.
Marissa continued: “This year is special as it’s our 25th anniversary and we have a range of fantastic stalls for the whole family to get involved in.
“A temporary parking suspension is in place on Sunday on Cockington Lane to ensure that traffic is managed to and from the event, helping prevent any congestion and help people get to the event safely. There will also be trained stewards on duty to help direct people to where parking is available.”
While all the extra activities are taking place in and around Cockington Court, the resident craft makers in the stable yard, sea change and cob barn craft studios will also be showcasing their creative skills.
