Fire crews were called to a holiday park early this morning to reports of a fallen tree which had fallen on a holiday home.
One fire appliance from Bovey Tracey attended the incident at Finlake just after 4.30am.
The accommodation was badly damaged but all persons were accounted for.
The utilities were isolated and area made safe.
Bovey Tracey Fire Station said on social media: “Residents staying at a Holiday Park had a lucky escape this morning after an oak tree fell onto two homes. One crew from Bovey were mobilised just after 4am and arrived on scene to find all occupants safely out. The crew liaised with on site management and ensured that the gas and electrics were cut off to the properties. The area was cordoned off and the teams were able to retrieve clothing, medication and other essentials for the holidaymakers.”
