M5 closed due to major oil spillage

Update: The M5 is now fully open.

The m5 is currently closed Northbound between Wellington J26 and Bridgwater J24 due to an oil spillage.

All three lanes are closed by the eight miles of oil spillage

The spillage is currently being cleared but it could be some time before the motorway is reopened.

Traffic is following a diversion route via the A38 and rejoining the motorway at Bridgwater J24.
