The M5 is currently closed in both directions this morning, Wednesday 6 September following a serious collision.
Emergency services are at the scene between junction 26 (Wellington) and junction 27 (Tiverton).
Police have stated the road could be closed for “some time”.
Long delays are reported.
Devon and Cornwall Police stated on social media: “M5 road closures in place following serious RTC. Northbound closed prior to junction 27. Southbound closed at junction 26. Road likely to be closed for some time.”
