Main road between Dawlish and Teignmouth closed due to collision

The A379, Teignmouth Road is currently closed both ways due to a collision.

The accident happened near Holcombe between Teignmouth and Dawlish.

The collision involved two vehicles. Emergency services remain at the scene.

Traffic is slow in and around the area, with lorries unable to take the diversion route.

The police have requested a full road closure with diversions on the A379 near Holcombe heading to Dawlish due to an accident. We are getting reports of long tailbacks, find an alternative route where possible. EP @DevonCC
