Update: The search was scaled back in the evening. The police helicopter continued the search this morning. The woman returned by herself this morning, safe and well.
A major search is currently taking place off Torbay this evening, Tuesday 26th June.
Coastguard crews, Torbay lifeboat and Teignmouth lifeboat are all thought to be involved in the search.
Crews have been seen in the Goodrington and Roundham area.
Coastguard and RNLI crews are currently searching the Torre Abbey Sands and Corbyn Head area.
Police are also involved with the search for a missing woman.
Coastguards have been seen searching from the shore in Torquay at Torre Abbey Sands.
