Update: Despite an extensive multi agency search, Daniel has not yet been found. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.
There has been a major search on Dartmoor today, Saturday 6th January for a man missing from the Dartmoor area.
Daniel Dawes, 32 from the Ivybridge area hasn’t been seen since Friday 29th December.
Daniel has previously been located on Dartmoor and in rural isolated locations.
Police, Dartmoor search and rescue teams, Fire search and rescue, Devon and Cornwall 4×4 response, Dartmoor rangers and members of the public joined in the search.
Dartmoor rangers posted on Facebook this evening: “Helped out this morning with the search for a local man missing from the Ivybridge area. It was a very well organised search involving the police, Dartmoor search and rescue, Fire search and rescue, Devon and Cornwall 4×4 response, ourselves and lots of local volunteers. I have no update as of yet whether it was successful, fingers crossed,”
There is currently no update on the search.
Daniel is described as a white, 6ft tall of slim build. He has short brown hair, dark stubble and brown eyes. It is not known what he was wearing when last seen.
