Man airlifted to Torbay Hospital after cliff path fall

Emergency services were called to an injured man on a cliff path in Torbay this afternoon.

Paramedics, Berry Head Coastguard, Torbay Coastguard and Devon Air Ambulanced  were called to the scene to the incident on the cliff path between Elbury Cove and Fishcombe Point after a man suffered a suspected broken ankle following a fall.

Ambulance crews administered first aid before the casualty was placed onto a stretcher and assisted by Coastguard crews. The man was carried to the awaiting air ambulance which had landed on Churston golf course. He was then transported to Torbay hospital.
