Man arrested following aggravated burglary in Newton Abbot

Police appeal for information following Newton Abbot burglary

Mr. Newton was left unconcious

Police have arrested a man in relation to an aggravated burglary in Newton Abbot.

The aggravated burglary, which happened on Sunday 25th October, left a 77 year old Brian Newton unconscious in his home.

Mr. Newton suffered a suspected fractured eye socket as well as bruising. £120 in a wallet was stolen.

A local 24 year old man was arrested following an appeal to the public. He has been bailed until 13th January pending further enquiries.
