A man has been arrested following a fatal collison in Torquay this morning, Thursday, 11th October.
Emergency services where called to Rathmore Road, just after 3.30am this morning to reports of an accident.
Three men were taken to hospital, the driver of the car was taken to Torbay Hospital with minor injuries. One passenger was taken to Derriford in Plymouth with a serious leg injury. The third occupant of the car was confirmed deceased at the scene.
The road was closed whilst police investigated the scene.
Enquires are now ongoing to locate and notify his next of kin.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing death by dangerous driving with no insurance, failing to stop at the scene of a collision, causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
