Police have appealed for witnesses after a man was found with serious injuries in Plymouth on Friday 24 September.
Police say they are investigating the circumstances that led to a 40-year-old man sustaining the injuries.
The man was found on Gdynia Way just before midnight on Friday 24 September.
He was taken to hospital, where he remains in what has been described as a critical but stable condition.
He is described as white, about six feet tall and he was wearing black tracksuit bottoms and a blue T-shirt.
