Man released in connection with murder inquiry

Police have released a man who was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police say the 26-year-old man has been released from police custody “with no further action being taken in relation to this matter.”

Another man, a 24-year-old, remains in police custody at this time on suspicion of murder.

Police launched a murder investigation after a body was found in the search for a teenager missing from Plymouth.

Bobbi-Anne McLeod, 18, was reported missing to police on Saturday 20 November after she failed to meet with friends in Plymouth.

A woman’s body was found the Bovisand area of the South Hams on Tuesday 23 November, following information received by police.

Formal identification has yet to be carried out, but the family of Bobbi-Anne McLeod have been informed.

Anyone with information which may assist the ongoing investigation is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 706 22/11/21.
