Man serious injured after being struck by tyre on A38

A man has been serious injured today after being struck by a tyre on the A38.

The incident happened this morning, Tuesday 1st September the A38 between the Drumbridges Roundabout and Chudleigh Knighton junction near Newton Abbot

The tyre appeared to have come off a passing vehicle, which struck the pedestrian.

Police, ambulance crews and air ambulance attended the scene.

The road has been closed whilst investigation work takes place, enquiries are continuing.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information which could assist police enquiries is asked to contact police on 101 or via email at 101@dc.police.uk quoting log number 261, 1/9/20.
