Police have appealed for information after a pedestrian was left with life-threatening injuries when he was struck by a car in Paignton last night, Sunday 13th October.
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision between a car and pedestrian on Brixham Road at around 10.45pm.
The incident happened between Borough road and the Tweenaway junction.
A local man, aged 23 was taken to Torbay hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition. His next of kin have been informed.
A 26-year-old woman, from Totnes, was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs. She remains in police custody at this time.
The road was closed whilst an examination took place.
Police have requested for any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage or information to contact them on 101 quoting log 861 of 13th October.
