Man and woman arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Dartmouth

A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident in Dartmouth yesterday, Thursday 6th December.

Police were called to the Townstal area at around 1.40am to reports of a disturbance outside of a property.

A man in his 20s was found with stab wounds to the chest on the street in Britannia Avenue. He was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

The 22-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man were found following searches and were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and taken into custody.

Police are appealing for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who may have information that can assist with the investigation.
