Scrap metal stolen from gardens around South Devon

Police have received reports of scrap metal being stolen from gardens in the South Devon area.

Scrap piping was stolen from a driveway in Oakland Road, Newton Abbot on Wednesday 6 September and piping from a garden of a property in Courtfield, Totnes at midday on Tuesday 12 September.

A dark blue Ford Transit van was seen, with a front seat passenger described as a male, late 50s in age, wearing a black and red top with short dark hair and a moustache.

 Police have advised peopleto be aware and move any metal items out of sight.
