Motorcyclist dies following collision in Bishopsteignton

A motorcyclist has died following a collision in Bishopsteignton this morning, 23rd August.

​The collision between a motorcycle and Vauxhall Astra happened at 9.30am on the A381 Newton Road.

Police concerned for welfare of man missing from Torquay

The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s from Teignmouth was airlifted to Derriford Hospital where he later died. His next of kin have been notified.

The road remains closed while specialist officers carry out an investigation at the scene. Closures are in place at Ware Barton and near Morrisons in Teignmouth and the road is expected to remain shut for some time.

Police are appealing for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision or the vehicles travelling along the road prior to the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact police via 101@dc.police.uk or by phone on 101, quoting log number 250 of 23/08/17.
