A motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries in a collision in Newton Abbot this morning, Monday 5 October.
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision between a motorcyclist and a barrier at the end of Aller Brake Road at around 4.10am.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said “The male rider was taken to Derriford Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
“It appears the motorcycle collided with the barrier after failing to negotiate a sharp left hand bend.”
The road was closed for almost eight hours whilst the scene was investigated.
