Murder investigation launched after body found in Paignton

A murder investigation has been launched after police discover the body of a man at an address in Paignton today, Wednesday 27th February.

Police were called to a property in Midvale Road at 12.36pm on Wednesday following concern for the welfare of the occupant.

Police concerned for welfare of man missing from Torquay

The body of a man in his 70s was found inside the property.

Police are currently treating the death as suspicious. Next of kin have not yet been informed.

A 41-year-old woman from Paignton has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody at this time.

Emergency services remain at the scene and a cordon is in place.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 348 of Wednesday 27 February.
