Murder investigation launched after man found dead in Torquay

Police have launched a murder investigation after a 36 year old man was found dead at a property in Warberry Road West, Torquay yesterday.

The man’s body was found inside the property shortly after 11am.

Officers from the Major Crime Investigation Team are following up a number of lines of enquiry. House to house enquiries are being made in the area. 

Formal identification has not yet taken place and enquiries are ongoing to trace the man’s next of kin to inform them and offer them support. 

A post-mortem is due to take place on Tuesday 17 November to establish the cause of death.

Three people from Torquay have been arrested in connection with the incident. Two men, aged 35 and 43, and a 44-year-old woman have been taken to Torquay police station where they currently remain.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 101 or email101@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk, quoting log 244 of 16 November.
