One World cafe closed ‘until further notice’ following fire

Cafe severely damaged in early morning blaze

One World cafe in Torquay have said they will be closed until further notice following a fire which caused major damage to the roof in the early hours of Monday morning.

The fire service were called to reports of a fire just before 2am. Three fire engines from Torquay and Paignton were mobilised to the incident following multiple calls reporting the blaze, at Abbey park off Belgrave Road.

Posting on Facebook a spokesperson for One World said: “A very sad day at One World. As you may know we had a fire early hours of Monday morning. We will be closed until further notice.
We would like to thank all our amazing staff during this time. Thanks to all the kind messages we have recieved from our customers. So kind…

“All Christmas bookings and Autumn parties will be contacted by Friday. So if you have bookings with us, please bare with us. We should have an indication of our opening date by end of the week. Many thanks,”
