After her disappearance several years ago, Emma finds that her memory is damaged; there is much she does not recognise or understand. Why does she appear familiar with certain Russian phrases; why has she such a horror of a harmless silver bell, of a portrait on the wall, of knives? Is she, in fact, Emma Cranwell? The Edge of Darkness plays from Tuesday 5th to Saturday 9th October, Nightly at 7:30pm. Wednesday 6th October will be performed to a socially-distanced audience.

Completing the programme in October will be a screening of the drama The Father starring Olivia Coleman and Antony Hopkins. The Father is a 2020 drama film co-written and directed by Florian Zeller, in his directorial debut; he co-wrote it with fellow playwright Christopher Hampton based on Zeller’s 2012 play Le Père.

A French-British co-production, the film also stars Mark Gatiss, Imogen Poots, Rufus Sewell, and Olivia Williams, and follows an aging man who must deal with his progressing dementia. It is the second adaptation of the play after the 2015 film Floride. The film will be shown at 7:30pm on Saturday 16th October and tickets are on sale now.
