The Palace Theatre in Paignton, which is operated by Jazz Hands Community Interest Company, will be hosting a celebratory event with local partners on Wednesday 15 September to highlight Paignton’s rich heritage and culture.
The event during Heritage Open Days 2021 has been organised in collaboration with a number of Paignton Heritage venues and organisations including Paignton Heritage Society, The Oldway Trust/Friends of Oldway/Oldway Garden Volunteers and Paignton Picture House.
The showcase promises to be an entertaining morning, suitable for all ages, with fascinating stories of the past as well as an opportunity to hear about the current activities and the future plans of each heritage venue. All proceeds raised through ticket sales and donations collected on the day will be shared between the participating organisations.
Tickets cost £10 and can be purchased from the Palace Theatre website: www.palacetheatrepaignton.co.uk or by calling the box office from 11am to 3pm Monday to Friday on 01803 665800.
There will also be an opportunity to purchase refreshments from the bar throughout the morning.
Deirdre Makepeace, Commercial Director of Jazz Hands CIC said: ‘We are delighted to be collaborating with our heritage neighbours and to add this wonderful showcase to our extensive programme of live performances, activities and events at the Palace Theatre. This event forms part of what we hope will be a longer-term relationship, to collectively promote Paignton as a leading destination for culture’.
