Part of A30 closed following serious collision

Part of the A30 is closed following a serious collision this morning, Tuesday, 13th February.

The road is closed near Uppottery between the A35 and A303

Emergency services were called to the incident at around 7am

It is believed the collision involved a lorry and a car.

Highways England posted on Twitter:

“The #A30 is now closed in both directions between the #A303 and #A35 #Upottery #Honiton due to a serious collision. Traffic diverted via the #A30, #A358 and #A35. Will keep you updated,”

Police have said that the road could be closed for sometime.

A35/A303 also closed in both directions following a serious head-on collision between two vehicles. We ask that road users avoid the area and seek alternative routes for the foreseeable future.

The M5 has also had closures this morning due to a serious collision between junctions 25 and 26 and reports of vehicles hitting a body in the road between junctions 28 and 29
