Emergency services were called to Hele Road yesterday afternoon, 27 September to reports of a collision between a vehicle and pedestrian.
The incident happened at around 4.25pm, police and ambulance crews attended.
The pedestrian was seriously injured and taken Torbay Hospital.
A single lane closure was put in place for approximately 3 and a half hours whilst the scene was investigated and the vehicle recovered.
Officers from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for any witnesses of the incident to come forward quoting 0644 27 September 2020.
