Person rescued from sea by Coastguard helicopter

A person has been rescued from the sea off Paignton this afternoon, Tuesday 4 May.

The Coastguard helicopter then landed on Preston Beach, people at the scene report a person being transferred to land ambulance.

Coastguard and ambulance crews attended the incident at around 4.15pm.

The Coastguard helicopter has now left the scene.
