Mayor Gordon Oliver and MP Kevin Foster will be attending, along with Devon & Cornwall Police, Intercom Trust, Edistone, Torbay Community Development Trust, Exeter University LGBT Group and Healthwatch.

Being a first of its kind event, it is aimed at raising awareness of LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender, queer, intersex, Asexual) and offer support to families, children and young people with a line-up of workshops, information stalls and free fun activities: bouncy castle, play and games, live music, drama, poetry, interactive drumming and free lunch.
Carol Steele, Director of Transfigurations said “We are delighted to be working in partnership with so many individuals and organizations in what we hope will be the first of many free fun events in Torbay. We want to raise awareness to LGBT issues in a relaxed setting and everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the day with us”.

Lorrie Layne, from Imagine Torbay added: “We are celebrating diversity and equality through events like this. The number of children and young people in the LGBT+ community is large and fast growing. It is our aim to make them feel loved, supported and integrated”.
