Police appeal after charity box stolen from Church

Kingsbridge police have appealed for information after a charity box was stolen from a church.

The charity box was stolen from The Methodist Church in Fore Street, Kingsbridge between Friday 8th and Monday 11th of January.

Police in Kingsbridge posted on Facebook:

Sometime between Friday 8th January and Monday 11th, a charity box was stolen from The Methodist Church, Fore St, Kingsbridge. The box was attached to the wall by a chain but it and its contents were stolen.

If anyone can assist us into the investigation of this crime then please get in touch with PC Dave Tungate quoting CR/2671/16.

This crime may form part of a series against religious establishments in Kingsbridge. We shall be having meetings with faith leaders to offer crime prevention advice and try and establish who may be responsible for these crimes.
