Police appeal after couple attacked in Newton Abbot

Police have appealed for witnesses after man and woman sustain broken bones in an attack in Newton Abbot.

A man sustaining a broken jaw and a woman sustaining a broken hand in the incident which happened at around 11.30pm on Monday 12 April outside The Jolly Farmer pub on Market Street.

During an argument between the male and female and a group, consisting of males and females, the couple were assaulted by members of the group.

A 21-year-old woman sustained a broken hand and a black eye and a 24-year-old man’s jaw was broken in two places.
